By Melissa S. Zane
We’re pleased to announce that Lantern Cage, an original painting by Melissa S. Zane, has SOLD.
Inspired by the delicate structure of the Japanese Lantern plant, this piece explores the interplay of fragility and containment. The translucent, skeletal form of the pod suggests both protection and entrapment, while warm, glowing hues evoke the hidden fruit within. Through organic lines and layered textures, the painting reflects the quiet tension between nature’s beauty and its impermanence.
